The Wellspring Fleet controls the only habitable world of their star system. This is also the planet from which their species originates, hence the name. Wellspring has the largest population in the system, but most of these people are deeply impoverished and struggling to survive despite the relatively high level of technology.

Wellspring’s military is very low tech compared with the rest of the setting, having only recently discovered FTL travel, by stealing it from Ice Line. Even within their own system they can’t match Ice Line’s sophistication.
